Attention landlords and renters

Residents of single family detached and single family attached properties must use this income verification process. Example property types include stand-alone homes, side-by-side duplexes, and townhomes. The renter must first verify their income, and the landlord is then responsible for initiating the work with an IRA Registered Contractor and assuming the associated costs. The income verification process for multifamily properties is different. Under IRA guidelines, multifamily properties are defined as residential buildings with shared spaces and/or equipment and include two or more units under one roof. Property type guidance is available. Property owners are encouraged to contact an Energy Advisor or Registered Contractor in their area to learn more.
